Earlier this week, I moderated a Skype event at the Noah Webster Library in West Hartford, CT, featuring writers Laura van den Berg, Ethan Rutherford, and Jessica Hollander (You may recall my interview with Ethan printed in NC last year). The program, in celebration of National Short Story Month, was a mix of interview, reading, and Q&A, and the three spoke about crafting fiction out of doubt, the thematic elements of their work, and how drastic life changes influence their style.
